New Songs By CONDITION CRITICAL, DEATH HEAD, SLASHER And ULTRA-VIOLENCE

By Featured Artists

You may have read my earlier post Under The Sign Of Thrash - 1986 Succeeded By 2012?!.

Four weeks ago I presented my favorite Thrash albums of the past year and reflected on the importance of 2012 for the genre compared to the glorious days and albums of 1986.

Your overwhelming interest out there easily made it by far the most read FA post ever, and I’d like to thank you all for that! \m/

So much about the past. The presence also has great things to offer for those craving for new stuff, and I have compiled some of the latest releases for you.

Special thanks go out to Global Thrash Assault and The New Wave Of Thrash Metal whose blog posts have become an essential part of my news feed lately.

Here we go in alphabetical order:

CONDITION CRITICAL
The US thrashers will release their debut album Operational Hazard via Burned By God Records on April 1. A video for the track Random Acts Of Killing is up on YouTube and you can also download the song via SoundCloud and ReverbNation.

DEATH HEAD
Calamity From The Skies and Dialogue Of The Dead are two new songs by Portsmouth (UK) based Death Head.

Commented Global Thrash Assault: “Once again great vocals, insane riffs and mind blowing solos make Death Head the band to be listening to right now!”. Go check ‘em out on SoundCloud and ReverbNation.

SLASHER
Brazilians Slasher from São Paulo have teamed up with producer Tue Madsen for their new single Overcome that serves as an appetizer for the band’s second album, Katharsis.

Katharsis is scheduled for release in the second half of 2013, the artwork and more details are planned to be revealed soon. A video for Overcome is up on YouTube and the track is also available for downloading on both SoundCloud and ReverbNation.

ULTRA-VIOLENCE
A first glimpse at the artwork (see above) of the new album Privilege To Overcome by Italian thrashers Ultra-Violence instantly gave a familiar feeling and yes - the cover comes from Ed Repka, who surely doesn’t need to be introduced here.

Privilege To Overcome is set to be released April 29 via Punishment 18 Records and you can now listen to the track Turn Into Dust on YouTube
and ReverbNation.
